Connelly Rental was created in March 1989 by a young man wanting to further his career opportunities and looking for new challenges. Connelly was offered his first chance to achieve his goals by the guidance, advice and support of two great busi
ness men's that would eventually become his business partners. The idea of a tool rental center was born from his desire to have his own mechanic shop. The person who would later become his business partner and mentor ( Gratien Proulx ), offered him the rental of lift trucks. Once this project became reality, the business concentrated on smaller tools. It was a humble beginning for this venture, with only a couple of tools to fill the shelves and two employees, including Mr. He worked relentlessly for countless hours to ensure his business’s success. Manon Goyet would join the team and work as his receptionist/secretary. The time and energy invested into the company secured a loyal and stable clientele increasing his buying power and therefore ensured a better diversification of equipment purchases. It is at that moment that Mr. Connelly acquired some of his first heavy equipment. In 2006, Mr. Connelly was ready to make his own way and decided to buyback his partner’s shares. Since then, with the precious collaboration of his wife Manon Goyet, this Ottawa equipment rental company continues to grow and flourish.
24 years ago, a young man realized his dream and today, we are proud to say that the company is still growing and successful, recognized for its remarkable customer service.
