1900
It started with lumber and brick.

Brothers Alexander, Duncan, and William Merkley opened shop in Casselman, supplying sawn lumber and bricks to projects across rural Ontario and western Quebec.

More than a century later, that same family legacy continues to guide Merkley Supply today.

We’re proud to have sponsored Ottawa Architecture Week 2026.

Events like this are a great chance to bring the people who shape Ottawa’s built environment together, share ideas, and celebrate the architecture and design that make our city what it is.

Thanks to Ottawa Regional Society of Architects, the volunteers, and everyone who helped bring another great week to life. We’re happy to be part of it.

1925

It was all about experience then. It still is today.

For 125 years, Merkley Supply has built its expertise in masonry and stone products by working alongside the people building Ottawa. That experience continues to guide our team today — helping customers find the right products and solutions for their projects.

Some things change. Experience still matters.

You can tell a lot about a business by the people who keep coming back.

We asked some of our customers what it’s like to work with Merkley Supply. Their answers come down to something pretty simple: helpful people, reliable service, and the feeling that someone is actually paying attention.
