Celebrating the refreshed, accessible, safe, and scenic Crawford Lake Boardwalk! 🎉

This past Friday, Keller team members Carlo Garaygay, P.Eng., and Michael Aresta, P.Eng., joined Conservation Halton, the Town of Milton, and project stakeholders for the official ribbon cutting, marking the completion of a new way to experience and view this internationally recognized meromictic lake located in Southern Ontario.

Led by Henry Jansen, P.Eng., and Michael Coleman, P.Eng., our project team was honoured to collaborate once again with Fiberwalk, contributing structural engineering and design work for this new, environmentally conscious boardwalk.

Our project scope:

- Structural design of the boardwalk system including the FRP (fiber-reinforced polymer) panels, steel column and bracing, and various foundation systems.
- Coordinated design services with stakeholders, consultants and contractors to address challenges encountered throughout the construction process, particularly due to the varying soil conditions found on site
- Generated flexible solutions in a timely manner to meet project timeline

We’re proud to have played a part in creating an accessible visitor experience that highlights unique natural features of Crawford Lake.

Yesterday, Branch Manager Mairead Walsh and Alberta team members Aimed Simosa, James Horrett, and Eric Duberville spent the day with the CCI South Alberta Chapter community at their 2026 Annual Tournament.

Building envelope expertise in one hand, candy in the other. 🍬⛳

Between carefully creating custom treat bags, the team had plenty of great conversations about how best to serve Calgary and area condo communities - and, more importantly, how to help prepare them for whatever the future has in store.

It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces, reconnect with clients and members of the local condo industry, and continue the important conversations that help strengthen our communities.

Keller candy shop stop ⛳🍬

Last week was the 9th Annual CMG Golf Tournament at Pine View Golf Course, 1471 Blair Rd, Ottawa, on. 🌞

Representatives from Keller joined the CMG team for a day filled with laughs, friendly competition, improving our swings, and connecting over a shared goal: supporting condo communities across Eastern Ontario.

Next stop ➡️ Kitchener-Waterloo Region 🚉

This summer, Keller team members Liam Bunka and Isaiah Abolarinde completed building condition assessments for Keolis Grand River’s ION Project, including 19 Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations and two driver facilities.

Completing these assessments helps prioritize maintenance needs and supports proactive planning to extend the longevity of these facilities.

The assessments covered:

- Site parking facilities and pavement
- Structures
- Roofs
- Plumbing systems
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Fire safety

We’re excited to welcome new team members, Hamed Ismail Syed and Michael Cooligan to our Ottawa office! 🎉

Let’s learn a bit about them!

Hamed joins our Building Assessment & Planning team as a Project Associate. A recent graduate of Carleton University (Official)’s Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering program, Hamed brings a strong foundation in building science and sustainability, along with leadership experience through Engineers Without Borders Canada.

Michael joins our Building Science & Restoration team as a Project Associate. He recently completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering at Carleton University (Official) and brings practical, on-site experience from the construction industry to his new role.

We’re thrilled to have Hamed and Michael begin their careers with us and look forward to seeing them apply their knowledge, develop their skills and contribute to projects across our Ottawa office.
