Before you buy compression socks, here are 3 things worth knowing. 👇

1️⃣ Compression level matters.
Different compression levels are designed for different needs, so choosing the appropriate level matters. For most medical grade compression it is recommended to consult your doctor first. Compression socks may also be covered by an insurance plan so a Doctor’s Rx would be required.

2️⃣ Fit matters.
Proper measurements help determine the right size and fit, especially when it comes to medical-grade compression. Shoe size should not be the only factor to determine your size, especially for medical grade compression.

3️⃣ There are different styles and different materials.
Knee-high, thigh-high, open-toe, closed-toe, sheer, cotton, athletic, linen, bamboo and more. The right option depends on your individual needs and how you’ll be using them.

Durham Medical is please to assist in this year’s Operation Backpack!

Each year, the Backpack Program ensures children from junior kindergarten through Grade 12, arrive at school confident about the coming school year with newly supplied backpacks filled with supplies!

Our goal is to provide each child with a quality backpack filled with grade level appropriate items… binders, refill paper, scribblers, report covers, pencil crayons, pens, pencils, rulers, and the list goes on.

We need your help in making this year’s Operation Backpack a success. You can drop off your donations at Durham Medical during our regular business hours until August 28th!!!
