Spent a few minutes to get some goodies mounted and check for mounting position on the pumpkin.

The diff will sit higher than usual , since the car will be much lower than stock, I wanted the cv angles to be softer.

Speaking of CV.... shout out to Richard from GoodParts for these amazing axles and hubs for the R200B Diff.

Next, we'll cut the rear factory brace off and build a tube frame. Which in turn will become the mount for the cantilever suspension.

absolutely killing it with these custom vents.

Walking through the office, and I see these gems getting ready to ship out.

Pictures dont do these beautiful vents justice. The textured bronze, along with the true brass insert is stunning!.

A few folks made fun of my dirty rear......... so I cleaned it up.

350z R200 diff completely stripped, rebuilt with new bearings,OS Giken L*D, and new oem seals.. im just awaiting the poly front mounts to arrive.

Then I designed the initial rear mount so I can start mocking this up into the TR6 chassis.

Anyone looking to get into the cnc world.

Well...... have i got a deal for you,!.

This thing is prehistoric, but works better than a newer model !

Can it fling chips? F**k yeah!!!!!

Can it hold micron tolerance? F**k no!.

But if youre looking to make good parts within .005" tolerance, than this machine is for you!!!!

1996 haas vf3

7500 rpm
40x20 table
20 tool holder missing 3 pockets
Calmotion drip feed system that's worth more than the machine.

Ghetto coolant system that works off a manual switch and bilge pump..... I built a 30 gallon coolant tank with wheels . Again.... its worth more than the damn machine.

Im looking to upgrade, and want to move this machine ASAP.

I still use this machine daily, and make great parts.

Here's the deal...... im not looking to get rich off this machine...... im asking for pennies , I understand rigging is probably worth more than the machine.....

So make me an offer...... any offer...... il probably accept it

Just need to make room

Next project is the front lower wishbone mount.

The previous owner did did a questionable repair many years ago I guess. These cars are known for mounts to break, I guess their solution was to weld scrap to the chassis until it held with bo**er welds.

I decided to whip out the old keyboard and cad, and create a new wishbone mount........ of course I could just buy one for 20$.......... but making it with your own hands for double the cost..... is how we learn. ;)

A few changes and ill have the revised one ready to weld on this week.

It also allows me to now revisit the front suspension geometry and adjust for the pushrod suspension that'll be coming up.

About time I started working on the triumph again.

I contemplated just grinding all the crap off, but opted to have the chassis and shell properly blasted to make it easier to work on.

I sent the chassis out last week and received it back a few days later........

Much to my surprise, the chassis was decent. The common rust spots were horrible just as expected...... and a few previous owner repairs that were a surprise.

The common area of rust is the main center "t shirt" area and trailing arm boxes.

Rather than buy the pre-made stuff.... I opted to build my own.

The factory frame is 14ga steel that's a channel formed and boxed design. I mimicked that design, but upped the thickness to 12ga steel. Im also going to be trimming into the adjacent section of the chassis so I have a point of mounting a roll cage down the road.

I also went a step further and added 1/8" wall tube through the holes to give me the most strength for all the upcoming HP this car will have.

I also upped all the hardware size to 1/2".

The " t shirt" boxed area will be getting the same treatment, but with a removable center section. Similar to a corvette.
