Resurfacing work is complete at the Path of the People trail, and Wanuskewin Heritage Park visitors can now continue exploring and learning with increased trail access and safety. ⛅️ 🚧

Last week, team members Michelle and Jordan represented Pier Solutions at the 44th annual Construction Association of Rural Manitoba Inc. Golf Tournament!

Special thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi and roll the dice at our Built to Last Challenge — we had a great day connecting with industry partners including Brandon Chamber of Commerce.

We always feel right at home in the rural Manitoban construction community, but days like these make us extra grateful to build alongside such talented and hardworking folks.

The new pedestrian bridge at Spruce Woods Provincial Park is complete! 🌲

This western Manitoba project brought our team to a vivid landscape of rolling sandhills, open forest, and the quiet beauty of western Manitoba.

While working at this new location felt novel and unfamiliar at times, our team found this project served as a reminder of a value we’ve held since the start: the importance of collaboration.

This new crossing on the Springridge trail was built alongside the team at Johan Construction and Silvertec Mfg. Inc. as one piece of continued shared work linking sites across Manitoba.

Delivered in partnership with the Manitoba Parks and Stantec, this project also contributes to ongoing infrastructure upgrades across Manitoba’s provincial parks.

Because in the end, these bridges don’t just connect trails.

They connect people.

The new dock at Big Whiteshell Lake is complete! 🌞🌊

This project was a chance to contribute to one of the Whiteshell’s most loved shorelines, and our team was thrilled to support more of the early morning paddles and long weekend gatherings that we already enjoy in places like Big Whiteshell Lake.

Completed in collaboration with Toban Specialties, Keller Foundations, Manitoba Parks and Stantec, this project supports the seasonal rhythms of our provincial parks and the many visitors who return each year.

Because in the end, these projects don’t just support recreation. They connect people.

The new Otter Falls Loop pedestrian bridge is complete! 🌲

Located just steps away from the popular Otter Falls Campground, this project tells a story of connection: from the crew members collaborating on site each day, to the groups of trail users who will now benefit from better trail access.

Whether we’re hiking on them, maintaining them, or building their infrastructure from the ground up — trails bring people together, and we’re grateful for the conversations, coordination, and teamwork that laid the foundation for this build.

This project is part of a larger effort to care for and enhance our provincial parks, and it wouldn’t be possible without partnership with Manitoba Parks and Stantec along with Toban Specialties and MAADI Group.

Because in the end, these bridges don’t just connect trails. They connect people.

The new pedestrian bridge on the Falcon Creek Trail is complete! 🌲
Just north of Falcon Lake, this new crossing sits along an easy loop that winds through quiet forest and steady creek views. It’s the kind of trail families return to, season after season, for simple moments outdoors.

Bridges like this help keep those experiences connected, supporting a route that invites people to slow down, explore, and share the trail together.

With support from project partners including Toban Specialties Inc and TREK Engineering this work helps keep these familiar landscapes connected and cared for.

Delivered with the support of Manitoba Parks and Stantec, this work contributes to ongoing improvements across our provincial parks and the trails and spaces people rely on.

Keeping trails safe is a community effort 🚧

We were recently able to partner with to provide Bridge Inspection Training through a hands-on review of structures along the Strathcona Trail.

Kyle Andrusiek led several members of the ATVMB Trail Audit Committee through the steps of infrastructure inspection and maintenance, beginning with in-classroom learning and ending with observation in the field.

With National Trails Day coming up on June 6, we’re reminded of the role that bridge safety plays in keeping trails accessible and enjoyable for all.

From design and construction to maintenance and inspection, we all have a part to play in keeping trail users safe — and partnering with community groups like ATVMB multiplies the impact!

The new pedestrian bridge at McKenzie Beach is ready for visitors! 🌲✨

Located at the south end of West Hawk Lake, this new structure preserves a favorite Manitoba destination —connecting the clear waters and granite shorelines families and friends return to year after year.

Our work isn't just technical; it’s about creating space for people to reconnect and rejuvenate.... which partners Evan Manning and Jeana Manning even do from time to time :)

Delivered in collaboration with the Manitoba Parks and Stantec, this project is part of a broader investment to renew our provincial parks and strengthen access to the places we love.

The Mantario Trail strides forward: bridge completed!🌲

After the 2025 fire burned through large portions of the Mantario Trail, many are wondering when—and how—this rugged route will welcome hikers back. Today, we’re proud to share a meaningful step forward with the completion of a crossing just 30 minutes from the South Trailhead!

Bridges are a place to pause, to cross, and to continue a journey that means a lot to the Manitoba trail community.

Restoring the trail isn’t just about infrastructure. It’s about restoring connection to Manitoba’s incredible landscapes.

While the trail remains closed, the journey to restoration continues.
Congratulations to the Manitoba Government on this exciting investment and thank you for your partnership throughout the project. Thank you also to Stantec for your collaboration.

Coming soon, we’ll be sharing five more bridge sites and the experiences they support across Manitoba’s trails.
