There’s nothing better than seeing a sewing machine go from frustrating issues to running smoothly again. ✨

There are many things that can go wrong with a sewing machine — some issues are simply more common than others. This beautiful Bernina was experiencing light switch issues, making it difficult to turn the machine on. Thankfully, this is a repairable issue, and we were able to get it working properly again!

As our machines age, parts can slowly wear down, and even electrical components can begin to fail. Catching issues early can help prevent bigger headaches and keep your machine sewing smoothly and safely.

✨ Another successful service! ✨

We had a fantastic day helping Ultimate Upholstery & Audio get their industrial sewing machines running smoothly and tuned up! 🛠️⚙️ Nothing makes us happier than bringing machines back to their optimal life and making sure they’re running at their very best.

Now they can get back to doing what they do best — creating beautiful, high-quality boat covers, upholstery, custom work, and so much more! Their craftsmanship truly speaks for itself. 🚤✨

Of course, no service call is complete without a few perks… and this one included some much-needed dog cuddles, kisses, and quality shop supervisors 🐶💖 (we definitely weren’t complaining!).

We picked up some table tops and are getting everything ready to install — with Frankie hard at work supervising, of course 🐶🧵

This space is being created to bring our sewing community together through:

📣 Salmon Arm Residents!

Big changes are happening at Fabricland in Salmon Arm — Fabricland now has new owners!

Congratulations to Jacquie and Brent as they begin this exciting new chapter. With new ownership comes a few changes for us as well.

Moving forward, The Sewing Machine Doctors will no longer be in Salmon Arm on Saturdays and will now be operating by appointment only on Thursdays. Clients will need to contact us ahead of time to schedule sewing machine or serger drop-offs and pickups while we are in town.

✨ Good news — we also offer in-home service calls throughout the Salmon Arm area! If your machine is too heavy or your have a few machines, instead of bringing your machine to us at Fabricland, you can book an appointment for us to come directly to your home for servicing and repairs.

With rising fuel costs, we need to ensure we have enough scheduled appointments for each trip down. This adjustment allows us to continue providing the same high-quality, same-day service you know and love while keeping our travel sustainable.

We truly appreciate all of the support from the Salmon Arm sewing community over the years and look forward to continuing to keep your machines running beautifully for many years to come! 🧵💕
