On a manual lathe, a simple long cut is easy. Engage the feed and let it run. But threading to a shoulder? Now you’re watching the position, stopping, reversing, and managing the half-nut. Need a different thread pitch or cutting speed? That can mean more adjustments, charts, and gear changes. Cutting a taper? You’re setting the angle and controlling the movement by hand. We’re looking for a limited number of qualified shops to become our local Smart Lathe Demo Hosts in their region.

This is NOT an open discount program - only select shops may have the opportunity to purchase a Smart Lathe under special Demo Host terms. You own the machine and use it normally in your business. In return, for an agreed period, STANKO may occasionally schedule qualified prospective customers to visit your shop and see the Smart Lathe operating in a real working environment.

There are no random walk-ins. Visits are scheduled in advance, kept within reasonable limits, and we manage the prospective customer. You’re not expected to become a salesperson. You simply provide a real-world location where serious buyers can see the machine in action. Demo Host opportunities are limited by geographic market.

Think about machining a long shaft on a traditional manual lathe. You're constantly cranking the carriage by hand, stopping the machine, reversing direction, resetting your position, and doing it all over again. The longer the part, the more physical effort it takes, and by the end of the job, you've spent as much time moving handles as you have cutting metal.

When a Smart Lathe in your area needs support, we may bring you into the project. You perform the local service work, while STANKO provides product information and technical support when required.

You remain independent. This isn’t employment, franchising, or a dealer agreement. It’s professional cooperation that can bring you additional paid work and new customer relationships. On a traditional manual lathe, changing feed rates often means moving selector levers that engage internal forks and gear mechanisms. Over time, those parts can wear, bind, or become difficult to engage, making setup slower and increasing the chance of selecting the wrong feed.
