Introducing the Royal E-Series Electro-Mechanical Actuator! This high-performance unit features a 5" diameter bore, a 24" stroke, and a 30mm thread pitch roller screw lead for superior precision. Built for durability, it includes a 3.5" nitrided output shaft with a micro-honed steel barrel for smooth operation and a rear eye mount and hardened steel bushings. Designed for efficiency, it features a parallel motor mount with a 1:1 belt drive and an IEC 165mm motor mounting plate. Longer blind end tie rods are pre-installed to support torque arm installation in the field.

Introducing the Royal T3H Series Positioner Cylinder! Built with precision and durability in mind, this advanced cylinder features a 4" diameter bore, a 38.5" stroke, and a 2 1/2" diameter chrome-plated 17-4PH stainless steel piston rod with a KK female 1 7/8-12 thread. Designed to excel in demanding applications, it includes a micro-honed steel barrel, SAE-12 port at Position 1, and a rod end trunnion NFPA (MT1) mount.

Equipped with a transducer magnet and gun-drilled rod, this Temposonic-ready cylinder ensures smooth performance and precise feedback. The maximum electrical stroke of the probe is 38.5 inches, and a probe cover is included to protect critical components.

Royal is excited to introduce our latest custom Royal W Series Cylinder! This cylinder features a 4 1/2" diameter bore, a 23.25" stroke, and a durable 2" diameter Nitro-Tec steel piston rod with a 1 1/2-12 UNF-2A rod thread. Built for precision, it includes a micro-honed steel barrel, non-cushioned design, and fixed clevis (MP1) for secure mounting. The cylinder is also equipped with 1/2" NPTF ports, making it adaptable for various hydraulic setups. What sets this cylinder apart is its custom brass rod scraper, ensuring long-lasting performance by keeping the piston rod clean and free of debris, even in the harshest environments.

Telescopic cylinders are unique, collapsing and extending through multiple stages. When collapsed, this model measures 34 inches. The first stage features a 3 3/4" diameter bore, a 23 1/2" stroke, and a 3 1/4" diameter chrome-plated steel piston rod with a flow path for optimized efficiency, extending to a full length of 75 1/2 inches. At Royal Cylinders, we offer a range of custom paint options to ensure our products endure even the toughest environments. Our options include two Polyurethane direct to metal (DTM) Armour Shield choices and a full epoxy coating, each tailored to specific needs. The Royal standard is to use the DTM method where Royal will paint individual parts prior to assembly and then assemble all parts. This offers a solid resistance to abrasion and industrial applications like pulp and paper, as well as salt spray exposure. The second option includes an additional full coat applied after assembly, providing even better resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and corrosion—this is the standard for machines as it is perfect for sealing in more corrosive environments. For ultimate protection, our epoxy coating offers superior corrosion and chemical resistance, even in submerged conditions, such as immersion in water or saltwater.

Royal’s blue epoxy paint is a custom blend for a key partner and is specifically designed for marine environments, providing exceptional durability. Recently, Royal supplied and painted 8 custom TH Series cylinders for a high-performance port terminal application, featuring chrome-plated steel piston rods and wear rings in the gland bushings for long life, reliability and enhanced corrosion resistance.

Introducing the latest Royal W Series Cylinder! This in-house honed, custom build features a 1 1/4 in. diameter bore, an 8" stroke, and a 5/8" diameter chrome-plated 316 stainless steel piston rod. Using Royal automated 5 axis machine center, our barrel and body are crafted as a one-piece unit from 316 SS material with no welding require that ensures maximum precision, reliability and the elimination of failure points in high stress application. Featuring a fixed clevis NFPA Style, this non-cushioned cylinder is designed for durability and weighs approximately 5.4 lbs. without fluid. It’s rated for a maximum allowable working pressure of 2500 psi, with test pressures up to 3750 psi, and seals that can handle up to 5000 psi. A stainless steel internal snap ring secures the gland bushing.

This cylinder complies with mill standards, with mill certificates provided for heat and lot traceability of all raw materials. Certificates of conformance are included with all Royal seals, ensuring lot traceability and shelf-life expiration dates. Additionally, statements of quality will be provided for all fasteners.

We’re proud to share that a recent set of custom manifolds that were sold to a customer in the film and television industry. Using a customer provided hydraulic schematic and a rough envelope for where the cylinder, manifold, and control valves needed to fit within their assembly, Royal took on this challenge, utilizing a combination of custom-designed and off-the-shelf components. Within five weeks, we designed, manufactured, and tested six custom Royal TH-Series Positioner cylinder with custom manifolds. In the Royal shop, we have the capability to design and manufacture complex manifolds with a wide range of ports and valve cavities, meeting the unique demands of any application.

Introducing the latest custom Royal R Series Pneumatic Cylinder! This unit features a 5 in. diameter bore, 5" stroke, and a 1 1/4" diameter chrome-plated steel piston rod with a thread size of 1-14. This Pneumatic Cylinder includes cushions on both ends, anti-bounce cushion sleeves, and a wear ring in the gland bushing—designed to easily be changed out instead of replacing the gland bushing thus providing a longer life. The cylinder is equipped with a chrome ID steel barrel, making it a robust solution for demanding applications.

Working with our partners on Vancouver Island, this custom cylinder was designed specifically for a high-performance trim saw operating with 19 of these cylinders to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Royal cylinders are built tough for any high-inertia application, particularly in industrial settings like multiple head trim saws.
