Fire Prevention Week starts today!
Every October, communities across Canada and the United States set aside this week to talk about how fires start and how to stop them before they do.
This week means a lot to us at Trinity. Fire protection is a big part of the work we do, and for many of our people, it goes well beyond the job.
At Trinity, Rodney is Vice President of Operations. When the pager goes off, he serves with the Thorburn Fire Department as the Chief.
That gives Rodney a view of fire protection most people never get. On our job sites, he helps put that protection in place. On a call, he's the one counting on it to hold.
Hear Rodney talk about his time in the fire service and what it has taught him about the buildings we work on: https://youtu.be/jpEKOx8HpBM?si=8FML_9DT_FyrifI_
While it's on your mind, take a few minutes this week to test your smoke alarms and check the gauge on your fire extinguisher. It's a small habit that gives your family time to get out safely.
