Corelite is lightweight, won’t rot, and is easy to cut and shape—making it ideal for DIY marine projects. The material was easy to cut and frame by screwing the boards in place. 🛥️ Got leftover gelcoat? Avoid wastage, here’s what you should know:
Unused gelcoat typically lasts 6–12 months when stored properly. To get the most life out of it, keep containers sealed tight, stored in a cool, dark place, and away from air and contamination. Heat, sunlight, and oxygen can shorten its shelf life fast!
Before your next repair, check for thickening, separation, or curing issues—when in doubt, test a small batch first.
