Monday Intermediate Level - Pottery on the Wheel

May 11, 18, 25, June 1, 8, 15

6 pm-9 pm (3 hour class)

Course Fee $365.00 +tax

Our 6-week Intermediate level Wheel Throwing Class will build upon the techniques learned in the beginner centering, shaping the clay, and pulling the clay walls. New techniques and shapes will be taught like plates and lidded vessels along with new decoration techniques.

10 lbs. Clay is included in the course fee.

The teacher is bilingual, taught by Alison

prerequisite required - minimum beginner class, min 6 weeks, taken in the last 2 years.

Notre cours de lancer de roue de niveau 1 de 6 semaines s’appuiera sur les techniques apprises lors du centrage des débutants, façonnant l’argile et tirant les murs d’argile. De nouvelles techniques et formes seront enseignées comme des assiettes et des récipients à couvercle ainsi que de nouvelles techniques de décoration.

10 livres. L’argile est incluse dans le prix du cours.

L’enseignant est bilingue.

Our 6-week introduction to pottery course is open to all levels.

We will begin by strengthening the basics of wheel throwing— centering, and making cylinders and bowls. After building a solid foundation, we will work toward individual goals set by each student. More experienced students can explore larger forms and personal projects. Bring your inspiration and aspirations!

Handbuilding with clay!!!
This is a great method to get to know clay and feel a bit more sense of control vs the wheel. You can more easily explore texture and different forms and have more time for decorating.

Prerequisite required “Into to the wheel” or similar beginner class, minimum 12 weeks, taken in the last 2 years.
