IN MEMORY OF VERNON ALLEN

Last week, we welcomed Vern Allen’s family, along with current and former AL-PACK employees, for a special memorial in his honour.

Vern co-founded AL-PACK with Louis LeBlanc nearly 30 years ago and was instrumental in building the company into what it is today.

It was a meaningful afternoon filled with familiar faces, funny stories and memories from people who knew and worked with Vern over the years.

A permanent plaque was unveiled in our reception area, and a special memorial edition of The AL-PACKER was created to share some of the stories and memories from his time at AL-PACK.

Thank you to Vern’s family and everyone who joined us. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to remember someone who played such an important part in AL-PACK’s history.

🥶💙 ALPACKAS Are Walking in the Cold! 💙🥶
On February 28th, Team ALPACKAS from Al-Pack will be participating in the Coldest Night of the Year walk in support of individuals in our community experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.

For many in our community, the “coldest night” isn’t just an event, it’s a reality. That’s why we’re bundling up and walking together to support local programs that provide warm meals, safe shelter, and essential services.

As a team, we are proud to be supporting this important cause and contributing through our workplace fundraising efforts.
We’re honoured to stand alongside others in our community who are helping make a difference.

The girls ended the tournament strong with a win against Team Wreath in the Consolation Final of the U15 Polar Express. 🎉 With 2 wins and 2 losses, the girls are proud of their performance. " Please extend our sincere thanks to everyone at Al-Pack for the incredibly generous in-kind donation on December 10, 2025. The stocking items, 21 bags of clothing, and 6 cases of garbage bags were greatly appreciated and will be put to immediate use, supporting youth ages 16 to 25.

I’ve attached a photo of the holiday bags we put together yesterday so you can see the impact of this support. These items make a real difference during the holiday season and throughout the year, and we are truly grateful for Al-Pack’s thoughtfulness and community spirit.

AL-PACK and our Social Committee are proud to support Youth QUEST Central/Centre de Jeunes QUEST, a local nonprofit helping homeless and near-homeless youth meet their needs, grow, and succeed 💙

Through clothing donations collected on-site and funds raised from our bake sale & 50/50, we were able to give back to an organization making a meaningful impact in our community.
