September has a funny way of making us think winter is still a long way off.

But those small exterior projects you've been putting off? They're usually a lot easier to tackle while the weather is still on your side.

Check your exterior caulking, weather stripping, railings, gates, trim, lights and other small repairs. You don't have to do everything at once. Figure out what will become harder once the weather changes and start there.

Because "I'll do it later" isn't really a project plan.
