I was lucky enough to have come out to the shop this past week. I have so many good things to say; but figured I would just show you. This shot is one of my favourites from their time at the shop… The Catacomb crown, some florals, The Maiden crown and The Crone crown… loooooook!!! I’m so thankful for this lovely little local pastry and their visit to the shop!

Got some hoods up on the back side of the shop today! It’s nice to have most of them in on central spot. Not sure if I’ll keep them exactly like this but it’s nice to be able to see each of them for now. I think I’d like to get some lighting for each piece, I think it would look pretty neat at night. The “Harvester” wouldn’t fit here so it’s on the side of the shop by the door. It feels like I started by cutting hoods a million years ago but some of these I am the most proud of! All original designs by me and all hand cut. What do you think? Do you have a favorite? Let me know. Thanks for looking.

Barley, wheat, lentils, canola and corn…the crops that have served this farm well! This three foot wreathe was custom designed to reflect the harvests from the farm it is going to. It is completely hand drawn and freehand plasma cut. (Did you know I don’t like doing font lol I’ll do it but I always psych myself out) The piece is exactly how it came off the table with no grinding, refinishing or fixing. It comes in at a lovely 3ft wide. Hand finished with patina and sealed with love! I’m incredibly grateful to my client for the trust, patience, and belief in my work. What do you think? The view from here… looks chaotic but it’s more of a well oiled and feverishly catalogued swirl of entropy. On any given day there are several dreams in here…dreams that have been waiting months, dreams that are being finished, dreams that have been seeded and linger in between pieces of scrap waiting to be discovered…it’s like a steel laden Narnia of my own making. Everyday is a chance to make something cool, and I think that’s pretty cool. I’m only ever limited by myself, lately that has been the fallout from having Covid…. But nothing is insurmountable if you just give it a try! A bo**er will really fly in a windstorm if you huff it hard enough… anything is possible! My space is enough to try in…It’s not the biggest, the cleanest (but really, when you hand cut the amount of steel I do it’s hard to keep up on “clean”), or the most technologically advanced shop, but it’s mine…truly, and that’s enough for me. Thanks for sharing the view with me! Appreciate ya!

I couldn’t be happier that this piece found a home just before Christmas. My hope was that the stocking holders would become symbols of Christmas/joy in the homes they inhabit; the kind of pieces you remember years after you grow up; the kind of pieces you still get excited to see because they herald the start of the season of wonder. Imagine all the smiles this piece will see over the years… the thought of it is amazing to me! When someone values my art enough to adopt it it’s still the most incredible feeling… to know my hands have made something good…to this family and all the families that have supported my little dream in any way, please know you keep a piece of my heart in your homes! Merry Christmas!!

The difference a year makes… to all those who have supported my business and my growth this year, I appreciate you. This years poinsettia vs last years… proud of that, if there’s one thing I want to be it’s always learning. When you think you know it all, you don’t and that’s just complacency within comfortability. I’ll always strive to improve and be exactly who I am. It’s too bad thats not for everyone….

Proof I can still do the things…lol. There wasn’t enough time to airbrush these new pieces so I went back to what I know best, rattle can and being downward of this terrible wind today! Painting outside is a challenge on days like today… I’m happy with what came out of the shop today, especially under the cirumstances. I appreciate everyone’s support and kind words this past few weeks! Thank you, always! All of these pieces were freehand cut with the plasma and hand shaped. Thank you so much for looking!
