Back to school looks different for every child.

New classrooms, new routines and new adventures are just around the corner!

For some students, preparing for school also means making sure their mobility, seating, positioning and other adaptive equipment is ready to support them throughout the day.

Back-to-school check: Does your child’s equipment still fit?

Kids grow quickly — and sometimes their equipment doesn’t grow quite as quickly with them! As you get ready for another school year, it’s a great time to take a closer look at the mobility and positioning equipment your child relies on each day.

Keep an eye out for signs like:
• Changes in posture or positioning
• New pressure or discomfort areas
• Supports that seem too small or out of place
• Transfers becoming more difficult
• Equipment no longer supporting everyday activities as well as it once did

A proper fit can make a big difference in comfort, positioning and participation throughout the school day.

If something doesn’t seem quite right, the Homestead Kids team is here to help assess your child’s changing needs and explore equipment, adjustments and solutions to help them head back to school with confidence. 💚

The 2026 Annual Homestead Charity Golf Tournament kicks off tomorrow, bringing our community together for a great day of golf, prizes and giving back.
