With 12 Canadians being diagnosed with MS every day, donations provides services to Canadians with multiple sclerosis and their families. It also helps fund critical research to help create a world without MS.

Beautiful day for some micropile proof testing!

After a long but very rewarding month, we have finished up our construction administration scope of work for installation of permanent foundation micropiles. We still have to wrap up proof testing in a week before we can finalize our industry-leading detailed record package to the Client.

There were many unexpected challenges and learning opportunities to work through including having to switch to a low overhead drill rig. Luckily, we had a great team on site to help navigate through everything!

Switching things up on the micropile job with a tiny Klemm!

GRAM Engineering has completed their first job!

Two retaining walls entering a tunnel had movements up to 400 mm or almost 16" due to existing deadman anchors and head wall shear keys failing. To mitigate further movements, we designed anchors to stabilize the retaining walls. Working in collaboration with the shoring contractor, Stinson Piling (Keith Stinson, P. Eng.), a tieback connection detail was designed and built with minimal protrusions from the anchor heads to prevent safety hazards during use of the tunnel. The detail also allows for future re-testing should additional movements be observed!
