At LP Swan Valley, we are proud to work and live in a region with strong Indigenous roots and connections. Indigenous Peoples have helped shape our communities through their knowledge, resilience, leadership, and stewardship of the land.

We celebrated with making bannock at the mill on Friday. Bannock is a staple in Indigenous cuisine that carries a complex history.

Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day from all of us at LP Swan Valley.

LP Foundation Disaster relief program has been initiated and $20,000 USD (almost $28,000 CAD) is being wired to the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman to help with flood relief!!

The municipality will determine how the funds will be spent (they know best what their community needs), but the focus will be on immediate support to residents, including food hampers, meals, etc.

LP Swan Valley takes pride in supporting our community in whatever way we can - whether that’s sandbagging, cleaning out flooded basements, a burger and a chat, financial support for our employees through our LP Cares Program, or donations like this - because it’s our community, too!

To everyone sending money, donating items, supplying food/necessities, and working long hours to help neighbours, friends, and family - we see you.
Our community sees you.

This flood will go down in history but the way our valley has stepped up will too - and that’s something we should all be proud of.

Wow! What an incredible turnout at today’s Community BBQ.

We were proud to welcome more than 500 people who stopped by to enjoy a burger or hot dog and spend time together as a community.

Minitonas, the support, kindness, and willingness to help one another during this difficult time has been truly inspiring. Seeing neighbors, friends, volunteers, and families come together reminds us just how strong this community is.

Together we support one another, together we recover, and together we will get through this.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make today such a success. ❤️
