A little behind-the-scenes look at what was happening in the shop today!

There’s always a lot going on at once around here, and these photos caught a few of the different stages our equipment goes through before it’s ready to leave the building.

From fabrication and welding to assembly, there’s a lot of work happening behind the scenes to get each project to the finish line. It takes experience, attention to detail and a lot of teamwork along the way.

A big shoutout to our team for the skill, care and effort they put into the work every day. We’re really proud of the crew we have here at TS!

We are looking for a Junior AI and Computer Vision Developer to help advance the computer vision, 3D geometry and AI capabilities within our sawmill optimization products.

In this role, you’ll develop Python tools, work with image, scan and production data, and help integrate new capabilities into our C # and .NET products under the guidance of our senior team. You’ll also help develop applications, troubleshoot issues and build tools for vision, geometric optimization and AI recognition.

It’s a great opportunity for someone early in their career to grow their skills, gain hands-on experience and work with AI and industrial technology in the sawmill industry!

We’re looking for an AI Trainer for Lumber Image Labelling to join our team!

TS Manufacturing is a family-owned Canadian company and a global leader in automated machinery for the sawmill and bulk material handling industries. As we continue to expand our artificial intelligence and computer vision capabilities, we’re looking for someone to help prepare the image data used to train and test our AI systems.

In this role, you’ll spend your day reviewing and accurately labelling images of lumber. The ideal candidate has a great eye for detail, is comfortable working with computers and can maintain focus and accuracy while working through large volumes of images.

No previous experience with lumber grading or artificial intelligence is required! We’ll provide all the training you need to recognize and classify lumber features and defects.

Yesterday, we shipped this TS Lineshaft Trimmer to a customer in Pennsylvania as part of an upgrade to their Dry Trimmer Line, and our team is on site this week getting everything installed.

The TS Lineshaft Trimmer is specifically built for high production and low maintenance. Its unique design helps extend belt life and reduce lineshaft-related issues that can slow production down.
