Check out these cool custom ‘s. Fringes are seemingly part of cowboy/cowgirl culture, in the current day it acts as a fashion trend. Purpose of the leather cowboy fringe is to allow the garment to shed rain, and to dry faster when wet because the fringe acted as a series of wicks to disperse the water – or quills. They also served as a form of camouflage when hunting, by breaking up the outline of the wearer and allowing them to blend in with their background.

Its been some time since our last Mactschetter Leather post, we’ve been building different parts of our other business, trying to find trade shows now that COVID restrictions have lightened up and also just trying to enjoy our summer on our new acreage here in Millet.

My only regrets are that I have missed getting some gloves out there to new customers to keep hands safe during this hard working season!
