Vous songez à construire une nouvelle maison ? Installez un pare-vapeur approprié sous votre dalle sur sol. C'est l'élément le plus difficile et le plus coûteux à remplacer. Un pare-vapeur classique ne résistera pas à la construction !

La meilleure façon de réduire l'humidité dans votre sous-sol est d'utiliser un pare-vapeur approprié sous la dalle au niveau du sol pendant la construction. Il devrait être conforme à la norme ASTM E1745.

I see that there has been a lot of surprises since the two heavy rains recently! Good luck everyone! Remember Architects and Engineers are very important in helping you find the sources of your problems. They do not benefit from any work that may be needed.

Numerous discoveries I have seen posted are likely not even related to the flooding.

Facebook Groupes are great for suggestions on how to fix your issues. Problem is, if it doesn’t work, who is to blame?

Generally, the recommendations are incomplete, missing key information. Has the source of the issue been determined and addressed before repairing? Product choice and its limitations! What is the science behind the issue? Why did the repair, system or material actually fail?

Product manufacturers or Industry Professionals (Architects/Engineers) should be your first choice for advice.

We are there to help and there are professionals that charge reasonable rates.

Important note:

Home Inspectors are very important to find and notify potential home buyers of potential issues with the homes that they inspect. Before the purchase is finalized, it is also very important to understand the issues, the necessary work required and magnitude of the costs, to make an informed decision. This is where an Engineer or Architect comes in. They are experts and do not benefit or loose out from the assessment of the issue. They are independent and work in the best interest of the public!
