Pacific Bolt is in The New York Times this week. 🇨🇦
Those green buckets say “Melted in the USA.” For decades, about 95% of our steel came from a mill less than 150 miles away in Washington State. Since Canada’s retaliatory tariffs took effect, we’ve moved most of our purchasing to Canadian producers in Eastern Canada. That means freight on a single load has gone from about $500 to as much as $12,000.
It hasn’t been easy. We’re proud of our Langley team for adapting, and grateful to the Canadian suppliers and customers who have stood with us.
Thank you to Peter S. Goodman and The New York Times for telling the story of what this trade war means for manufacturers like us.
