What happens when a spa in Quebec decides it's time for a better way to heat?

For Juan Bilodeau, it meant leaving behind a combination of labour-intensive cordwood boilers and costly fossil fuels in search of a more sustainable, reliable solution.

Today, NRJ Spa Nordique (Sartiga Spa sur le Lac) is heated with a fully automated Heizomat biomass system, using renewable wood fuel to reduce emissions, lower dependence on fossil fuels, and simplify day-to-day operations.

Juan credits BT Énergie for bringing the Heizomat solution to his attention and for providing a quality system design, professional installation, and ongoing after-sales support throughout the transition.

Thank you to Courrier de Portneuf who wrote a great article about Charpentes Montmorency and their switch from Natural Gas to burning waste biomass!

With the help of BT Énergie Inc and SADC Chibougamau-Chapais, they installed a 500kW biomass boiler and are saving $86,000 per year in fuel costs and reducing their CO2 emissions by 250 tonnes. Doing right by the environment can make good business sense!
