Canadian Concrete Pipe & Precast Association - CCPPA

Canadian Concrete Pipe & Precast Association - CCPPA CCPPA represents producers of concrete pipe and precast concrete products used for a wide range of drainage infrastructure applications and structures.

CCPPA, now known as the Canadian Concrete Pipe & Precast Association, was established in 2013 to represent concrete pipe producers, precast concrete manufacturers, and suppliers within the precast concrete industry. It is a not-for-profit association dedicated to protecting and advancing the interests of the concrete pipe and precast concrete products industry in Canada. Key activities of the Cana

dian Concrete Pipe & Precast Association include:

- Development and consultation on specifications and standards with regulators, specifiers, and designers.
- Education of professionals involved in specifying materials and products for gravity pipeline and transportation systems.
- Government relations activities.
- Promotion of the application of precast concrete products and systems.
- Research aimed at advancing the knowledge of materials used for constructing precast concrete pipeline systems and culverts.

Roads above get the attention.
The infrastructure below does the heavy lifting.

Concrete pipe and precast structures are part of what keeps communities functioning by supporting development and delivering essential services where they're needed most.

Reliable infrastructure starts with durable products, good design, and the people who make it happen.

A lot happens below the surface.

Infrastructure isn't just about what gets installed.
It's also about where it comes from.

Precast concrete products made in Canada support local jobs, strengthen regional supply chains, and help deliver reliable infrastructure built for Canadian climates and project demands.

Specified here. Built here. Installed here.

From coast to coast, we are Canada's concrete infrastructure backbone.

New CCPPA Technical Resources are here.

As precast utilisation grows across Canada, our most-used technical tools have been updated and expanded to support designers, inspectors, contractors, and owners nationwide.

What's new:
- Precast TechNotes: a refreshed, national version of our Information Booklet, covering design, materials, and current industry advancements.
- Concrete Pipe & Precast Installation Pocket Guide: our most requested resource, offering clear, practical installation and inspection guidance for field teams.

These updates reflect the increasing demand for accelerated, resilient precast infrastructure solutions.

Access both updated resources on our website: www.ccppa.ca

Improving communities by building safe and resilient foundations begins from the ground up.

Reinforced concrete pipe serves not only as infrastructure but also provides safe and durable foundations for our communities.

Its low maintenance requirements mean fewer disruptions and safer communities for years to come.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives, were injured, or became ill because of a workplace incident, and the families whose lives were changed forever

We honour their memory, and we recognize the importance of protecting workers through a strong, ongoing commitment to safety across our industry.

How do you upgrade one of Edmonton's busiest corridors without slowing it down? 🚧

The Yellowhead Trail Freeway Conversion is transforming a 24.6 km stretch that carries 80,000+ vehicles a day.

Traditional open-cut methods weren't possible for the new storm system, buried 9 to 16 metres deep.

That's where Amrize Canada stepped in.

To keep traffic flowing, the team delivered a full micro-tunnelling pipe solution alongside Shanghai Construction Group and PCL Construction, manufacturing:

- 1350 - 2500 mm diameter pipe
- Nearly 1.7 km of total pipe
- Engineered injection ports for lubrication + long-term ground stability

This project is a great example of how smart engineering and precast innovation solve massive urban challenges.

Before any project starts, make sure you know what's below.

Whether you're excavating or breaking ground on infrastructure work, always contact your local one-call service before you dig.

April, being Dig Safe Month, is always a great reminder to: Contact. Locate. Dig.

Because safe digging starts before the first shovel hits the ground.

Spring is here, and the Spring thaw begins; stormwater management systems quickly come to work.

From retention and detention structures to engineered drainage solutions, this infrastructure is designed to capture, control, and manage runoff when snowmelt and rainfall are at their peak.

Thoughtful design and properly specified systems help reduce flooding, protect waterways, and support resilient communities - not just in Spring, but year-round.

Spring is a reminder that infrastructure doesn't just support growth - it prepares for it.
