Founded in 1962, SFL Metalworks Ltd., formerly known as Stittsville Foundry Ltd., has been a family owned business for its whole existence. The foundry has produced many notable pieces including many lamp posts and man hole covers in downtown Ottawa. The foundry began in fabrication and poured and produced its own molds and designs. Currently, the foundry works on a smaller scale, but maintains its connections to produce any new products in demand.
