REDBEARD WELDING & FABRICATION — NOW HIRING
Welder

Start Date: April 2026 (flexible)
Shop & Mobile Services
Hours: Full-time — overtime available

Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform welding and fabrication work on-site and/or in-shop (as required)
• Read and work from drawings, sketches, and measurements
• Fit-up, tack, weld, and finish steel and aluminum components to spec
• Operate common shop tools (grinders, saws, torches, etc.) safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate progress clearly and represent Redbeard professionally on jobsites

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in welding/fabrication
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision (and as part of a team when needed)
• Strong welding skills: MIG, Stick, Flux Core, and Aluminum
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• CWB tickets are an asset (not required)

📣 We’re Hiring: Office Administrator / Bookkeeper

Redbeard Welding & Fabrication is looking for a reliable and organized Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to help manage our office, payroll, and financial administration.

What you’ll be doing:
• Bookkeeping and day-to-day office administration
• Creating and managing customer invoicing
• Running payroll and handling government remittances
• Tracking union and non-union hours for payroll, invoicing, and reporting
• Working confidently in QuickBooks (Online preferred)
• Using Excel for tracking, reporting, and organization
• Supporting overall office operations and workflow

What we’re looking for:
• Experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and invoicing
• Experience with union and non-union payroll (construction/trades an asset)
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Comfortable using Excel
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Position details:
• Part-time position
• Based in Cape Breton (local preferred)
• Pay: Hourly rate based on experience
• Start date: Immediate

☀️ Biggest Beach Stair Project to Date ☀️

This one was a long time in the making — and it pushed us every step of the way. The build itself was a challenge, and the install was grueling, hot, and tested our grit.

But standing back and seeing the finished product makes it all worth it.
We’re proud to say this is our largest beach stair project yet — built to last and ready for countless summer adventures ahead.

A huge thank you to our customer for trusting us with this project — and a special shout-out to High and Dry Ditching for coming down to install the screw piles that made this install possible. 🙌
