It has been a busy few months at Bilton, and we are proud to share a look at several large-scale pressure vessels recently fabricated and shipped for a major project in Alberta, highlighting the size, complexity, and capability our team delivers every day. This is what it looks like when custom solutions are built under one system, one fabrication campus, and one team.
Project highlights:
Amine Contactor
▪️11'-0" ID x 103'-11-1/8" S/S length
▪️178,000 lbs
▪️316L stainless steel construction
▪️Designed for full vacuum service
Direct Contact Cooler
▪️21'-0" ID x 55'-0" T /T length
▪️293,000 lbs
▪️Designed for elevated temperature service
Stainless Steel Wet Flare Drum
▪️228" ID x 79'-8" S/S length
▪️285,000 lbs
▪️Designed for full vacuum conditions
Amine Contactor
▪️12'0" ID x 108'2" S/S length
▪️422,000 lbs
▪️High pressure design in the 3200 kPa range
▪️Full vacuum capability
💡Fun facts during hydrotesting:
The Direct Contact Cooler reached approximately 1,610,000 lbs
The Wet Flare Drum reached approximately 1,533,000 lbs
All vessels were designed and fabricated to ASME Section VIII Division 1 and registered in Alberta.
It's hard not to credit the team for delivering work of this scale safely, efficiently, and successfully.
