This past Wednesday, we held our annual Bilton BBQ and brought our team together for an afternoon of food, conversation, and a few interactive activities along the way.

This year, we added something a little different with a series of engagement booths focused on Canada’s energy industry, the importance of continued investment in Canadian projects, and what that investment can mean for our employees, businesses, and communities.

Employees had the chance to test their industry and Bilton knowledge, explore how everyday products connect back to oil and natural gas, learn a few surprising facts, and share their own perspectives.

One of the highlights was our Community Wall, where we asked, “What does Canada’s energy industry mean to you?” By the end of the BBQ, it was filled with responses about family, careers, opportunity, community, and pride in the work we do.

It was a great reminder that behind every project are people, families, businesses, and communities, and we’re proud of the role our team plays in that bigger picture.

This past Tuesday, our foursome golf team represented Bilton on the course at the APVMA Partnership for Strength Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Innisfail Golf Club. Ashley was also there throughout the day, helping the APVMA organize the event.

Bilton was proud to return as a Silver Sponsor this year. Between catching up with familiar faces, making new connections, and enjoying a little friendly competition, it was a great day all around.

This year’s tournament was held in support of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and the important work they do for children and families across Alberta.

Thank you to the APVMA for putting together another fantastic event, and to everyone who came out and helped make the day such a success.

On July 24, Bilton joined Fluor Corporation’s 2026 Employee Golf Tournament as a hole sponsor at Blue Devil Golf Course, with our own twist on the usual golf challenge. We brought out our custom Golf Chipping Pong game, where every player earned an entry into our prize draw, with a few extra tickets up for grabs for anyone who could land their shot in a cup.

It was an early start for Diego and Sonet, and the smoke definitely made for an interesting morning, but we had a great time meeting everyone who came through our hole and putting a few short game skills to the test.

The best part of the day was the cause behind it. Funds raised through the tournament supported Hull Services’ Subnivean Farm and its outdoor learning programs. Fluor has already played an important role in helping develop the space, and this year’s funds will help support a new pergola over the outdoor kitchen, creating more opportunities for children and youth to learn, connect and build confidence outdoors.

A big thank you to Fluor for having us and to everyone who stopped by to take a swing.

The parking lot looked a little different yesterday.

Chrome replaced company trucks, motorcycles lined the fence, classic cars filled the lot, and conversations started everywhere you looked.

Our annual Show & Shine and BBQ brought together employees, families, and an impressive collection of vehicles for an afternoon of good food, music, and plenty of friendly competition.

Thank you to everyone who entered a vehicle, helped organize the event, and came out to support their coworkers. The turnout was incredible, and it's events like this that make the summer at Bilton something people look forward to every year.

What a great day at the Cornerstone Engineering Ltd. Golf Tournament Last Friday!

Our team had a great time meeting everyone, catching up with a couple familiar faces, and putting golfers to the test with our pong challenge. It looked a lot easier than it was, but we saw some impressive shots and plenty of friendly competition throughout the day.

A big thank you to Field & Forge Brewing Co. for partnering with us to supply prizes for our highest scoring pong champions, and congratulations to all of our winners.

We're also proud to support an event that gives back to our community, with this year's tournament benefiting the Alberta Lung Association's Breathing Space Project, Inn from the Cold, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Calgary.

A big thank you to Spartan Controls for treating the Bilton team to an amazing BBQ lunch last week. From smokies and hamburgers to fresh salads, vegetarian options, and cold drinks, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

These moments are great reminders that strong partnerships are created through community, connection, and by taking time to appreciate the people surrounding us.

We are grateful for Spartan Controls’ generosity and continued partnership, and for helping create such a great lunch for our team!
