Weekly Metals Update – June 11, 2026

Another interesting week in the metals market.

Gold continues to show strength, currently sitting around $5,727 CAD/oz, up roughly $40 on the day, while silver is holding near $90 CAD/oz, gaining about $1.50. Platinum and palladium have also seen solid moves higher, showing that investor interest in hard assets remains strong.

Copper has pulled back slightly, currently trading around $8.52 CAD/lb, but overall the long-term outlook for industrial metals remains positive as infrastructure, electrification, and manufacturing demand continue to grow.

My take:

We’re still seeing a lot of uncertainty in global markets, government spending remains elevated, and debt levels aren’t getting any smaller. Historically, those conditions tend to support precious metals over the long run.

For silver specifically, I still believe we’re in a bullish environment. Short-term pullbacks and volatility are normal, but the overall trend continues to look constructive. Physical demand remains strong, and if investment demand picks up further, silver could have plenty of room to run.

As always, nobody has a crystal ball, but I remain more interested in accumulating quality physical metals on dips than trying to time every move.
