Across the country, Indigenous-led clean energy projects are showing what is possible when communities are partners in development.
In Ontario, the Oneida Energy Storage project, co-developed by NRStor and Six Nations communities, is one of the largest of its kind in the world, storing renewable power and advancing Indigenous economic sovereignty.
In the Northwest Territories, Iron & Earth is helping fossil fuel workers and Indigenous communities transition to renewables through solar installations that reduce diesel dependence.
And here in Gespe’gewa’gi, the Mesgi'g Ugju's'n Wind Farm, co-developed with the three Mi’gmaq communities of Gesgapegiag, Gespeg, and Listuguj, is generating clean power, jobs, and long-term prosperity.
These stories show how Indigenous-led clean energy projects are driving climate solutions while strengthening communities.
