Lego Mindstorms laying around? The UNB Fencing Club is putting together a unique fencing program for high school students with an educational tie-in with UNB faculties. Our first project will be a collaboration with the UNB Robotics Club to create fencing robots to compete in an upcoming fencing tournament. If anyone has Lego Mindstorms, Lego Technic parts or any other Lego laying around they'd be willing to donate, please let us know.

If your high school aged child is interested in participating, also reach out.

Please share and spread the word.

⚔️ Did you know? Swords break in fencing – and it happens more often than you might think! ⚔️

But here’s the thing: it’s not the end of the world. Just like in life, things can break, things can go wrong, but as long as you have a solid foundation, you can always get back up and keep going. 💪

In fencing, it's the grip and the guard that are closest to you – the parts that protect you and help you control the weapon. These are your solid foundation, the things that keep you grounded no matter what happens with the blade. The blade might break, just like plans can fail or challenges can arise, but that’s ok. It can be replaced, just like how you can adjust, learn, and grow from every trial and error. 🔄

The key is always getting back up and keeping your foundation strong. With the right support, you can take on anything that comes your way. ⚔️✨
