Consulting Engineers of Alberta CEA is a registered organization representing Alberta engineering firms. The industry contributes over $1.9 billion annually to the Alberta economy.

These firms employ over 8,000 individuals including professional engineers, technologists and support staff. The engineering industry is strategically important in developing and transferring technology for the use and benefit of society

CEA’s role is to promote and enhance the business interests and opportunities of CEA member firms. CEA and partner associations in each of the provinces and the

territories, in conjunction with the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Canada, offer clients access to a network of quality industry services and employee benefit programs. Formed in 1978 under the Alberta Societies Act, the Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) now operates under the Consulting Engineers of Alberta Act as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the business environment for consulting engineering firms in the province, and providing society with the highest standards of engineering design and safety.

A big thank you to everyone who came out last night to the CEA Young Professionals Bowling Mixer at Plaza Bowling Co.! It was a fantastic evening of networking, laughter, and a few impressive strikes (and maybe some creative gutter balls).

We loved seeing so many peers from across the consulting engineering community connect over bowling, pizza, and great conversation at this Edmonton landmark.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the BMO Center Expansion Tour last night hosted by the CEA Young Professionals group. We were thrilled to welcome representatives from RJC Engineers, CMLC, and the Calgary Stampede, who shared their expertise and stories behind this iconic project. This tour marked a full-circle moment, revisiting the site after previously touring it in 2022 during construction.
