We are finishing up a 489" LS6. No stone was left unturned on this project. The cylinder heads received hardened exhaust seats bronze guides and positive valve stem seals. That was paired with a fully rollerized valvetrain including steel rockers. The rotating assembly consists of a forged 4.250 stroke crankshaft, s**t forged rods and SRP forged pistons. The factory GM snowflake intake was ported and then v***r blasted and satin cleared it for a nice mostly stock appearance.

Here is one for the Honda guys! The F20C1 used in the Honda S2000 have FRM cylinders which consist of carbon fiber aluminum and aluminum oxide to help create a very lightweight block, however they are not compatible with forged pistons unless special coatings are used and that is assuming you have enough material to be able to hone the block. L.A. Sleeve hooked us up with this sleeve kit which replaces the cylinders with a proper ductile iron sleeve as well as strengths the deck and stabilizes the block.

This never gets old square decking this old 5.3 before we bore and chamfer the cylinders and then its off to the hone.

We wrapped up a 521" Big Block Ford stroker this week. This is headed for a 1979 F100 and should make a pretty mean street engine. The rotating assembly consists of an Ohio forged crankshaft, Molnar connecting rods a set of SRP pistons and topped with a set of SR71 cylinder heads. While we know racing cause we go racing, We also know a thing or two about reliable street engines!

This week we wrap up this 615 SR20. Anyone in this industry knows the parts struggle is real! The worst part is waiting 12 weeks for a set of pistons only to find out while assembling that the valve relief angles are wrong. Aside from needing to correct the valve relief angles this 615 is ready to go racing!

The build room is feeling a bit crowded today! On the left we have a 521" BBF coming to completion as well as a 347" Turbo SBF. On the right we have 2 632+ cubic inch BBC's another 347 SBF and just to really shake things up a 4.6 land rover.

We can't thank everyone who supports Bel Engines for their support and we look forward to seeing your engine through our build room.

This is a new one for us, we understand this is an expensive sport but doing things twice is never cheaper. The second half of this is we love seeing people embrace this and want to try their hand at building engines but if you haven't built a tall deck 632 before its a bad place to start! Someone welded guide plates to these poor Jesel shaft mounts including other issues we found but this one had us scratching our heads.
