Tridon Communications

Tridon Communications Providing innovative wired and wireless telecommunication solutions to western Canada since 1981. We believe in local. What We Offer Our Employees.

We Believe in Local

Tridon Communications is dedicated to supplying communications solutions to Alberta’s industries, and we have been since 1981. We started in our hometown, Fort McMurray, before growing our business to include locations in Athabasca and Edmonton. We employ well over 100 Albertans and hire directly from world-class local institutions like the Northern Alberta Institute of Techno

logy and the University of Alberta. We live here, play here, and Albertan businesses have supported our growth, helping us become what we are today. That’s why it’s our duty and our privilege to give back to the community. We’re proud to support regional organizations like Santa’s Anonymous and Sport Central; we are long-standing supporters of Edmonton’s Stollery Children’s Hospital, the Children’s Festival, and the ITU World Triathlon. In Fort McMurray, we are proud partners with the Noralta Skating Club, the Santa Claus Parade, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Fort McMurray Ski Team

These are just a few of the organizations we contribute to, and it’s the least we can do. Supporting them helps make northern and central Alberta an incredible place to call home. At Tridon you’ll have the opportunity to sharpen and expand your set of skills. The projects you take on will challenge you, draw on your creativity and initiative and prepare you to take on the next challenge. Tridon believes in on-the-job training, with experienced team members often serving as mentors for new recruits. We believe in company-supported training, and you’ll have the opportunity to take courses offered by our partners– Motorola Solutions, Kenwood, and Cambium Networks, just to name a few. We offer our employees: competitive wages paid personal days, paid health and dental benefits, and time off in recognition of years of service. You’ve earned it. Safety is Job #1

Tridon’s safety practices meet or exceed Alberta’s industry and legislated standards. This is more than a safeguard for the health and well-being of all personnel and assets; it’s good business practice. It creates a productive environment that minimizes downtime due to injury, equipment damage, and follow-up investigations. It creates a workplace where everyone can focus on the customer’s needs because the approach to the job has been designed with personnel safety as the top priority. We Are the Solution. Tridon doesn’t sell boxes of stuff – we provide customer-specific solutions to our customer’s challenges. That’s why we take the time to listen to our customers and fully understand their needs. This is our mission. LOCATIONS

The Tridon World Cup Office Challenge is officially underway, and things are already getting mildly ridiculous...which is exactly the point.

Across our locations, teams are picking their countries, plotting their desk takeovers, and bringing out the kind of competitive energy usually reserved for playoff overtime and the last slice of pizza.

Exhibit A: a photo with the famous David Beckham, trophy and all.
Exhibit B: Steve, once again, already taking trophy appreciation to a very committed level, brick-built glory included.
Exhibit C: Andy's sticker collection has been opened, sorted, and treated with the seriousness of a pre-match strategy session.

This challenge is about more than picking a team. It’s about showing off the roots, cultures, rivalries, snacks, flags, jerseys, and questionable levels of workplace competitiveness that make Tridon what it is.

Decorated desks, group photos, country colours, international snacks, remote team involvement, leadership participation - it all counts.

The prize? A pizza party for the winning office and, more importantly, bragging rights. Obviously.

Game on, Tridon. May the best location win.

Always nice to get shout outs from our clients.

Tridon has been serving Alberta's public safety and industrial sectors for over 45 years. As a Kenwood Authorized Dealer and Authorized Service Centre, we don't just sell radios - we stand behind them.

If your department is evaluating P25 solutions or planning a radio fleet upgrade, let's have a real conversation at the AFCA's 78th Annual Conference and Trade Show.
