The latest winner of our Photo of the Month competition is Wyatt Noel for August! This photo captures a great snapshot of the type of remote, expansive landscapes many of our crews are working in.

This shot was taken while our team supports the Northern Access Roads project for Coffee Gold Mine, a 214 km all-season road connecting the mine site to the Yukon's highway network. Inline has been providing surveying services throughout the project, including the roads, culverts, and bridges that make up this major piece of northern infrastructure.

Project Spotlight: Calgary Green Line LRT

The Green Line LRT is a major transportation infrastructure project that will expand Calgary’s transit network and support the city’s continued growth. Phase 1 includes 17.2 km of twin-track LRT infrastructure, 12 new stations, 3 Park and Ride facilities, a Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF), and 28 new light rail vehicles.

Inline has been supporting a number of awarded contractors across the project, providing materials testing, geotechnical, and environmental services for the Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) and Ogden Road Realignment packages. In support of KLS Earthworks, Ironclad Earthworks, Bow Mark Paving, and North Star Contracting, our teams have delivered QC compaction testing, concrete and laboratory testing, geotechnical oversight, environmental sampling and disposal, and well decommissioning. Inline has also previously supported Green Line-funded improvements, including the North Pointe Park and Ride, helping ensure quality and compliance as construction progresses.

The Ogden Road Realignment includes new road infrastructure, utility work, a multi-use pathway, and a new parking lot at Pop Davies Athletic Park. Meanwhile, the MSF will provide essential space for the storage, maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of the Green Line’s future light rail vehicles, making it a critical component of the system’s long-term operations.

Inline is proud to contribute multidisciplinary technical expertise to one of Calgary’s largest infrastructure projects, supporting our contractor partners as the Green Line takes shape and helping build the transportation network of the future.

The latest winner of our Photo of the Month competition is Derek Lubkiwski for July!

This photo captures our survey team working on the Kensington Pulse development in Calgary, laying out slab openings for Wiehler Mechanical as construction progresses. The project involved excavating the existing building foundations and constructing a new nine-storey residential building with 88 units, one level of below-grade parking, and retail space.

Inline has supported the development through multiple project stages. Our team completed the original geotechnical investigation, as well as Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments for the site. Today, our survey team continues that involvement by providing construction layout services.

Last week, our teams celebrated the successful completion of our annual Health & Wellness Challenge with events across our Inline & Challenger Geomatics office locations.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Neville Wright, for sharing his personal journey and insights on the importance of wellness and recognizing the signs of burnout. The session was broadcast to team members across the country, followed by local celebrations featuring relay games, kayaking, chair yoga, hitting the driving range, and plenty more.

It was a great opportunity to celebrate and spend time together as a team. It also served as an important reminder that when we invest in our people’s well-being, we all thrive.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day one to remember. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Our team is proud to be participating in Climbing for Change this year to raise funds for Kids with Cancer Society.

On September 26, three Inline teams will take on a 24-hour climbing challenge at Rabbit Hill Snow Resort, collectively climbing the equivalent elevation of Mount Everest, Mount Logan, and the Matterhorn. Every step will help raise funds to support children and families affected by childhood cancer.
