Introducing our HWU Skidding System
This is our skidding system running in the field, built and tested for real operating conditions.
In well intervention, moving heavy equipment safely and accurately makes a big difference in overall efficiency. This system is designed to do exactly that.
How it works
The skidding system allows a Hydraulic Workover Unit to move horizontally across a wellhead, so there’s no need to rig down and rig back up between wells on a multi-well pad.
It uses two sets of hydraulic cylinders working in sequence. The bottom cylinders grip the skid track and push the unit forward, while the top cylinders reset for the next stroke. The motion is controlled and consistent, allowing very precise lateral movement of a heavy load using hydraulic power.
On pad operations, that means less downtime and lower overall costs.
Technical specs
