Diesel Evolution in 2027?

There’s a lot of talk right now about what could be next for heavy duty diesels.

8.0L Power Stroke.
7.2L Cummins.
8.3L Duramax.

600+ horsepower.
1,400+ lb-ft of torque.
Bigger displacement. More boost.

Would extra horsepower and torque be nice? You bet.

But here’s the reality:

As of today, there is no official confirmation from Ford, Cummins, or GM about discontinuing their current diesel platforms or replacing them with larger displacement engines.

The horsepower wars are real.
The competition is real.
The evolution is real.

The rumors? Still just rumors.
