Message from our former President Steve Heim who is currently visiting Project Canaan in Eswatini, Africa.
đ€ Greetings from Eswatini, Africa.
It is late fall here. The temperatures are dropping as winter nears. Day time highs of 29C, dropping to 12C at night. Comfortable for us but the locals are bundled up in winter jackets in the morning.
Marlys and I are at Project Canaan, learning more about life in Eswatini and working with the 461 children on campus. A three day event called âCamp Canaanâ finished up a couple days ago. It was a fun event for the kids: face painting, bouncy castle, games, that sort of thing. Marlys and I put on a Photo Booth and tattoo parlour. Many of the kids said that was their favorite event. Photos of themselves are cherished.
The most important news that I wanted to share with everyone at Brenco Industries Ltd. is the status of the shipping container that was generously provided by Brenco Industries. Thank you to all the staff who donated clothing and supplies and helped load the container. You made a big difference to the people here. A special thank you to Vanessa Marion for purchasing the shipping container and providing the space to store it while it was being loaded. We were told that 13,000 pieces of clothing were counted once the container arrived and was opened.
