The Bunting ElectroMax overband magnetic separator provides a simple way to remove unwanted ferrous metal objects from a stream of material passing underneath on a belt conveyor. The electromagnet can be turned on and off at will. As it is air-cooled, EMax is safer as the fire hazard is eliminated. In addition it is lighter weight than oil-cooled versions and good for our environment. Product purity is assured and people and downstream equipment are protected from metal contaminants, including parts and tools that somehow get in the mix.

The Bunting EMax crossbelt overband self cleaning magnet attracts unwanted metal from a product stream passing under it on a belt conveyor. The diverted metal is deposited off the side or head end of the conveyor. A wonderful feature is that this device is air cooled, a plus for the environment and a welcome reduction in maintenance requirements.

April 2024 marks five years since the launch of Bunting's ElectroMax Overband Magnet and, in that period, Bunting has built and shipped 120 units for a value exceeding £3 million.
