Wednesday Curbside Reminder — District of Chetwynd

Element Disposal is proud to handle curbside garbage collection for the District of Chetwynd every Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Per District of Chetwynd bylaw, carts must be placed at the curb or edge of the road by 7:00 AM on collection day.

Our route order can shift day to day, but if your cart is out, we'll definitely get to it — as long as it's out by 8:00 AM, you're covered. We haven't had a missed or pushed collection day since we started this route, and we plan to keep it that way.

If we ever do miss you, just give our office a call at 250-784-7892 and we'll happily do our best to swing back and get you the same day.

What an incredible time at the FSJ Trade Show! We were blown away by the turnout and loved connecting with so many familiar faces — and plenty of new ones too.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, chatted with our team, and especially to all the kids (and adults 👀) who submitted a coloured page for our Lego Garbage Truck giveaway. The talent we saw was absolutely unreal!

Hello Fort St. John!

For nearly two years, we’ve been quietly preparing for the chance to serve this community. Along the way, we’ve earned municipal collection contracts in Pouce Coupe, Taylor, and Chetwynd—communities we continue to serve successfully with local crews.

We’re excited to get to work in Fort St. John starting Monday, February 2, 2026. Collection days stay the same, and while pickup times may shift a bit as routes are fine-tuned, no service disruptions are expected.

We’ve set up a shop right here in Fort St. John and hired all local staff to handle collection. Our focus is reliable service, fair pricing for residents, and keeping jobs and dollars in the community.

Element Disposal is proud to introduce ourselves as the new provider for curbside garbage collection in the District of Chetwynd. In partnership with Saulteau First Nations, we’re excited to serve your community with reliable, professional and local waste collection.

📅⏰Please note: curbside garbage collection will now take place on Wednesdays. As our routing may differ from the previous provider, your pickup time may also be different than what you’re used to—please ensure bins are out by the morning of collection day.
