Step by step, ride by ride - Team Tatham continues to show up for our communities, with staff across our offices walking, running and cycling in support of causes close to their hearts:

🔹 Soldiers’ Ride – our cyclists smashed their fundraising goal, raising more than $9,000 for OSMH this year
🔹 MS Walk – from Collingwood to Guelph, staff have participated in this event for over a decade
🔹 Walk for Alzheimer’s – representing Tatham in Muskoka, our team took home this year’s Spirit Award
🔹Charlee’s Run – Year 5 supporting this meaningful event, which was inspired by a personal staff story

Five years. Nearly 2,000 trees planted. And we’re just getting started. 🌱

returned to the Minesing Wetlands’ Willow Creek for our 5th Annual Tree Planting Volunteer Day.

This year, we planted 440 native trees and shrubs, continuing our commitment to restoring and strengthening local ecosystems.

Over time, these native plants will:
🐟 Offer shade and cooler waters for temperature-sensitive fish species
🪶 Stabilize streambanks and reducing erosion
🌳 Create habitat for wetland birds
🌊 Filter runoff before it enters Georgian Bay

A big thank you to our staff volunteers, the Nature Conservancy of Canada / Conservation de la nature Canada, and the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority for another meaningful day outside the office.

At Tatham, not every team outing looks the same. And that's kind of the point.

Whether it's courts for pickleball, testing our skills in an escape room, or gathering around a table for a great meal, we know that meaningful connections happen in different ways for different people.

A few weeks in, our 25 summer co-op students have settled into life at , working across our Buildings, Construction, Electrical, Geomatics, IT, Hydrogeology & Geoenvironmental, Land Development, Mechanical, Municipal, and Water Resources teams.

A few things that stood out about this year's group:

🔹 Nearly 40% are students returning for a second or third term! Thank you for trusting us with your summer.
🔹 More than half of this year’s cohort are women, reflecting the growing diversity across engineering and technical fields.
🔹 Our Municipal and Construction teams welcomed the largest number of students, showcasing the growth of our infrastructure projects and our end-to-end delivery capabilities.
🔹 Our Guelph office welcomed its very first co-op student, Palmer, who joined the Municipal team. We hope he's the first of many, the office continues to grow.

From fieldwork and site inspections to design insights and cross-disciplinary collaboration, our 2026 Summer Students are gaining hands-on experience and contributing to projects that support communities across Ontario.

Spring training is in session! 🦺

Our latest cohort of staff and students hit the ground running with hands-on safety training in our Orillia and Collingwood offices.

Led by members of Tatham’s Construction team (Jesse Johnstone, Greg McLachlan and Adam Timlock) the sessions brought decades of practical expertise to life in small group settings. This format allowed our construction leaders to dive deep into essential topics, including hazard identification, trench safety, WHMIS, site documentation, and contractor communication.

By the end of the session, these new team members walked away with a well-rounded engineering safety toolkit, ready to leap boots-first into their next site visit!

Since 2021, we’ve had the privilege of contributing to the David & Helen Capin Regional Centre for Pets and People alongside a dedicated project team.

Our team provided mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering services for the new 19,000 sq. ft. facility, expanding capacity and enhancing care for animals across South Georgian Bay.

This pledge builds on our role in bringing the Centre to life and our continued support of the Georgian Triangle Humane Society and its commitment to animals and the Collingwood community.

We’re looking forward to officially welcoming our new neighbours in 2027!

What does it take to turn data into real, measurable water savings? 💧

Earlier this month, Emily Park of Tatham and Ben Lightbown of the Town of New Tecumseth took the stage at NextWave 2026 to showcase how a data-driven Water Loss Control Program is helping reduce non-revenue water and unlock meaningful cost savings.

Using acoustic leak detection and ICI meter inspections, the team highlighted how targeted actions can have a big impact.

Thank you to everyone who attended the session, and to the Ontario Water Works Association for bringing together such a strong community of water professionals.
We’re also grateful to our partners at the Town of New Tecumseth for their leadership in advancing smarter, more sustainable water systems.

A milestone moment in Ramara 👇

The Bayshore Village Effluent Disposal System project officially broke ground on May 15, bringing together municipal and provincial partners, neighbours, the contractor, and members of the Tatham team.

With support from provincial funding, the project will replace the aging, seasonal, and weather-dependent spray irrigation system with a modern subsurface disposal bed. Once complete, lagoon-treated effluent will be reliably dosed year-round. 💧

More than 20 years in the making, this project reflects a true end-to-end effort: from early planning and options assessment through to design and now construction.

Congratulations to Adam Bell, who was named this year’s Honourary Member at the 2026 Ontario Traffic Council (OTC) Summit in Kingston.

For nearly ten years, Adam served as President and Board Director of the OTC, helping guide the organization through a period of transformation: modernizing its governance, repositioning road safety as a central priority, and strengthening partnerships that continue to shape transportation policy across Ontario.

A recognized leader in road safety, active transportation, and emerging mobility technologies, Adam’s has helped guide important conversations and initiatives that continue to influence how transportation networks are designed and managed.
