🔥 WHY DOES KVERNELAND HEAT-TREAT THEIR PLOUGH PARTS?

This was one of the most impressive parts of seeing how a Kverneland plough is made.

It’s not just about using thick steel. The way that steel is treated is what gives these components their strength, toughness and ability to handle years of abuse in the field.

🔥 Parts are heated to extremely high temperatures
💧 Then rapidly cooled in a controlled quenching process
💪 This hardens and strengthens the steel
⚙️ The process allows components to be strong and wear-resistant without simply making everything heavier

In these photos, you can actually see the components glowing red-hot before going through the heat-treatment and quenching process.

That process is a big part of why Kverneland has built its reputation around strong, lightweight ploughs. Rather than just adding more and more steel, they use specialized manufacturing and heat treatment to get the properties they need from the steel itself.

Pretty incredible to watch it happen in person — especially knowing these glowing-red pieces of steel will eventually become parts working in somebody's field.

🚛 HUCKABONES ON TOUR — A LITTLE MORE FROM N&N! 🇨🇦

Last week we showed you some of our visit to N&N Remorques — but there was way too much going on to fit into one post!

From racks of axles and trailer components to finished trailers being stacked and shipped out, it was pretty impressive seeing just how much goes into building an N&N trailer.

And of course, we couldn’t leave without Brentley finding one he liked. 😂 Apparently a factory tour can turn into trailer shopping pretty quickly!

Another big thanks to Brian and the N&N team for showing us around and giving us a look behind the scenes.

There’s a lot more that goes into a plough than just bolting a few pieces of steel together!

These photos give you a look behind the scenes at the Kverneland factory — from individual components and heavy steel parts, through the manufacturing process, finishing and assembly, to the completed ploughs lined up outside.
