Location: Clarenville, NL
Position Type: Full-time / Permanent. In-Person

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Journeyperson Welder/Fitter to join our team The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and fitting metal components according to specifications, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform FCAW/MCAW/SMAW & GTAW - All positions welding procedures and other types depending on project needs.
• Measure, cut, and fit metal components using various tools and equipment
• Gouge, grind and perform various welding tasks.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
• Understands and follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• May perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education & Experience:
• Years of experience combined with education, designations or certifications.
• Journeyperson Red Seal Ticket.
• Valid driver’s license.

Skills & Competencies:
• Proficient knowledge with welding & fabrication processes.
• Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces

Now Hiring: Journeyman Millwright (2 Positions Available)
Location: Clarenville, NL
Position Type: Full-time / Permanent. In-Person

About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a qualified and safety focused Journeyman Millwright (2 positions) to join our team. The successful candidate is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, safety-focused, and experienced in working with a wide range of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial mechanical equipment
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery such as pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Perform precision alignments, machine assembly, and disassembly
• Conduct welding, cutting, and minor fabrication as required
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and workplace regulations
• Complete maintenance documentation and work reports
• Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Journeyman Millwright Certification (Interprovincial Red Seal preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in an industrial, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, or marine environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Valid driver’s licence

Assets:
• Welding certification and experience
• Experience with CMMS systems
• Occupational Health & Safety training (e.g., confined space, fall protection, lockout/tagout)
• Equipment operation tickets (forklift, aerial lift, etc.)
