One of our new units, #1104, made an appearance at last week’s RECLAIM 2026, hosted by Frontline Washing Systems and Headlands Environmental.

This is the 2026 Keestrack R5e Impact Crusher, combining the mobility of a tracked impact crusher with the operating advantages of a diesel-electric drive system.

With diesel prices across Canada up over 68% year-over-year, models like the R5e are becoming an increasingly attractive option for aggregate producers and recyclers looking to reduce their operating costs.

The R5e diesel-electric configuration consumes approximately 35 litres of diesel per hour. Where grid power is available, compatible R5e configurations can eliminate diesel consumption during crushing altogether.

For operations processing aggregates, concrete, and asphalt day after day, those savings can make a meaningful difference to their cost per tonne.

Demolition projects can generate huge volumes of wood waste, much of it bulky, inconsistent and mixed with contamination.

Left as-is, that material takes up valuable space, costs more to handle and transport, and can be difficult to move into a useful end market.

The CBI 6400CT gives recyclers a way to reduce that material at high volume and turn it into a more consistent, manageable product. Its segmented drum rotor is designed for contaminated wood and demolition debris, helping operators process material that may contain nails, fasteners and other tramp metal.

What's left is less bulky waste moving through the site and a more uniform output that can be screened, separated, reused or prepared for its next stage of processing.

Versatility is one of the biggest strengths of the Terex Ecotec TDS 820.

Built as a heavy-duty primary shredder, it can be put to work across applications ranging from waste wood and forestry material to green waste, bulky waste, commercial waste and tyres.

A big part of that flexibility comes from its twin-shaft shredding chamber. Rather than relying on a single shaft, the TDS 820 uses two independently driven shafts that work together to pull apart and reduce difficult material. Each shaft can respond independently and reverse when required, helping the machine work through irregular feed while reducing material wrapping.

Operators can also tailor shredding programs to suit the application, changing how the machine responds depending on what is being processed. Combined with its tracked undercarriage, large feed area and aggressive slow-speed shredding action, the TDS 820 is designed to move between very different applications without being tied to one specific waste stream.

Organic material is rarely consistent from one bucket to the next.

Compost, soil and mulch can clump or tangle, while changes in bulk density make it difficult to maintain an even feed through a conventional feeder stacker.

The TFC 75 Organics is built specifically to handle that material. At the hopper outlet, an integrated auger flips and rotates the material to aerate and untangle it, helping reduce fluctuations in bulk density before it reaches the main conveyor.

The variable-speed feeder belt then controls the rate of material leaving the hopper, while the hopper design helps reduce bridging. For compost, soil, mulch and other bulky organic materials, the TFC 75 Organics provides more control over the material before it ever reaches the stockpile.

Every job asks something different from a machine.

Before this horizontal grinder heads to site, our service team is adjusting its tooth configuration to better suit the material and the finished product the customer is after.

That preparation starts with understanding the application. The material being processed and the target product both influence how the machine should be set up. Site conditions can change that setup again.

Alberta’s organics recycling industry is coming together in Calgary this week.

From facility tours of Calgary’s anaerobic digestion and composting operations to conference sessions and the industry tradeshow, The Compost Council of Canada’s 36th Annual Organics Recycling Conference brings together the people, technologies and ideas shaping organics processing across the country.

In pulp and paper, a clean chip matters.

Bark left in the finished product isn't useful fibre, and too much of it can affect how consistently chips behave through the pulping process. For chip producers, that means getting two parts of the process right: removing the bark while preserving usable fibre, then turning that clean wood into a consistently sized chip.

The CBI 7544 brings those two stages together on one chassis.

Logs first pass through the three-roll flail system, which automatically adjusts based on log diameter to consistently present clean, debarked wood to the chipper. From there, the 75-inch, four-knife disc produces uniform chips from 3/8" to 1", with production rates up to 200 tons per hour.

Instead of running a separate debarker and chipper, the 7544 takes incoming logs through both stages in one machine, producing the clean, consistently sized chip required for pulp and paper applications.

Last week, a brand new service truck joined our Chilliwack fleet.

It’s one more piece of the support network we continue to build around the equipment we sell.

When a machine needs attention in the field, a fast response starts long before the service call comes in. It takes factory-trained technicians, the right specialized tooling, and trucks equipped with critical parts so our team can arrive prepared to get to work.

That is why we continue investing in our service fleet across Canada. The more equipment we have working in the field, the more important it is that our support capacity grows with it.

This is the first of two new service trucks being added to our Chilliwack operation, giving our technicians another fully equipped unit ready for deployment.

With a two-deck prescreen, rotor and the optional afterscreen, the Keestrack R6 effectively puts three machines into one mobile spread.

The prescreen scalps material before it reaches the crusher. From there, crushed concrete moves through the afterscreen for final sizing before being sent out to the stockpiles.

It gives the operator the functions of a scalping screen, impact crusher and classifying screen without adding separate machines to the spread.
