Now Hiring: Parts Counter Salesperson
At Down East Auto Parts our team takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, accurate parts support, and fast delivery to keep our customers on the road.
Position: Full-Time Parts Counter Salesperson
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM; Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Responsibilities:
• Assist customers in person and over the phone with automotive parts inquiries and orders
• Identify correct parts using catalogues, inventory systems, and vehicle information
• Create and process invoices and returns
• Maintain product knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and systems
• Handle cash and electronic payments
• Support inventory control, stocking, and organizing the parts area
• Provide excellent customer service to retail and wholesale customers
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in automotive parts or a related field preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge and interest in vehicles
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills (point-of-sale, inventory systems, email)
• Valid driver’s license an must
