Preparing a nutritious dinner can be one of life’s everyday pleasures. There are also times when planning meals, shopping for groceries and cooking become more difficult than they used to be. For an older adult living independently, someone recovering from surgery or a person experiencing mobility challenges, even a routine trip to the grocery store can require considerable energy.
Carrying bags, standing at the counter to prepare ingredients and cleaning up afterward can add to the challenge. However, that doesn’t mean nutritious meals have to disappear from the dinner table. As highlighted in the article “Fueling a Nourished Dinner Table Through Meal Delivery” on pages 6 and 7 of Independently YOU, Volume 6, meal delivery and in-home assistance can provide practical alternatives when cooking and grocery shopping become difficult.
Meal delivery can make life easier and increase independence. Save time and energy by either having groceries or fully prepared meals delivered to your home.
