Many competitor trims are one piece: a single extrusion that gets nailed up first, so everything else has to fit around it.

EasyTrim Elegance® two-piece profiles split that job in two: a backplate that goes on the wall, and a top cap that snaps onto it with EZ.Lock® SNAPLOCK® once the siding is in. Over the next few posts we’ll show what that changes on site and on the finished wall.

What makes a sharper shadow line?

It comes down to the shape of the reveal. Daylight hits a wall at an angle. In a reveal that's about as deep as it is wide, the sides block most of the light before it reaches the floor, so the reveal stays dark.

Competitor trims for 5/16" panel use a 12.7 mm reveal. The EasyTrim Elegance® reveal is 8 mm wide and nearly as deep as it is wide, so it reads as a darker, crisper shadow line.

For designers, that means the layout you draw is the one people see: clean, consistent joint lines that read clearly from the street, even in bright daylight.

Look at the reveal. Elegance goes deeper, creating a more pronounced shadow line and greater definition between panels. A small change in geometry that makes a noticeable difference across the façade.
