Keystone Environmental proudly returned as a sponsor at last week’s 6th Annual , hosted by . This invitational has become one of the region’s most anticipated events and a vital source of support for patient care, raising more than $220,000 in 2025.

This year’s proceeds will directly support the new Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower, which opened to patients last month. The tower will expand services through additional private rooms, advanced technology, and thoughtfully designed spaces that support healing and recovery.

We are pleased to share that our Project Manager, John Dewis, has been reappointed to the 2026–27 Board of Directors for the 2nd consecutive year as Chair of the Indigenous Committee.

At the same time, the Board says farewell to Brent Olson, who is retiring as Officer at Large after 8 years of service, with the last two years being part of the Executive Committee. In recognition of his longstanding contributions to the Association, Brent, alongside Esma Al-Autman, received the Chairman’s Award from President John Hibbard, recognizing their leadership, dedication, and passion. While stepping away from his current role, Brent will continue to be involved with BCEIA in a volunteer capacity.

Congratulations to our Senior Engineer, Jason Christensen, on being re-elected to the Society of Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals of BC’s (CSAP) Board of Directors for the 2026–27 term. In this role, Jason will serve as Committee Chair and Representative for Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).

He has also made significant contributions to through his previous roles as Secretary-Treasurer, Chair of the Performance Assessment Committee, and member of the Exam Development Team. These experiences, combined with his expertise, position him well to effectively represent CSAP members.
