We are looking for another Electric Motor & Pump Repair Technician!

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Customer satisfaction through quality repair of client jobs in a cost effective, efficient and timely manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Thoroughly read all work orders paying special attention to customers’ complaints.
-Evaluations on Motors and Pump Repairs
-Provide quality and efficient mechanical and electrical repairs to a wide array of electro-mechanical equipment to ensure the customer receives a lasting repair.
-Accurately record time and materials on work orders
-Learn and practice parts identification procedures.
-Attend training seminars, schools and company training sessions, etc. to keep abreast on technical changes and advancements in the industry
-Assist other technicians in completing their task in a timely manner when required.
-Pick-ups and deliveries as required
-Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.

446A, 442A, 443A or manual machining Trade Experience would be an asset, but not required.

Air conditioned/heated shop, uniforms, competitive wages, health care spending account and RRSP matching program.

We have unlocked our doors, parts counter is officially re opened! Keeping social distancing in mind we are limiting three customers inside at a time. Please use the provided hand sanitizer when entering the building, if there is someone at the counter already please stand in one of the other two marked spots or outside until one customer leaves. Thank you for your patience over the last few months, as well as while we transition back to serving customers at the counter.

Attn: Valued Customers & Suppliers

This is certainly a challenging and unsettling time. Like you, we are paying close attention to COVID 19 and trying to create a plan that will keep our staff and customers safe. As some of you may be aware last week
we put extra precautions in place with extra sanitizing and limiting building access to employees and the front counter.

Burlington has declared a state of emergency and ordered all non-essential businesses to close. We consider ourselves an essential service, therefore for now we have made the decision to reduce staff and limit counter interaction beginning Monday March 23rd until further notice. We will have limited staff
working Mon-Fri 7-5pm, and 24 Hr Emergency service to fulfill your requirements. The back door will remain locked, and in addition we will lock the front door to the public. Please call (905) 639-9662 or email [email protected] your orders in ahead of time, we will prepare your order and advise you when ready. Upon arrival please call (905) 639-9662 and we will bring your order outside.

We understand sometimes you may not know what you require, if this is the case please call and speak to someone so they can be prepared for your arrival and assist you.

Please do not come to Seymour-Smith Electric if you have any cold or flu like systems, or have travelled outside the country in the last 14 days.

While this is a difficult call to make, we know it’s the right one given the developing COVID 19 situation. Of course, we will keep you updated if anything changes. Right now, we are monitoring the news and following
advice from the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Canadian Government, and other national and local health organizations.

As we are all aware COVID-19 is a serious and ever changing global situation.

At this time, Seymour - Smith Electric remains OPEN to serve our valued customers. We are taking extra precaution by not allowing any customers inside the building, except for the front counter. Please use the front counter for any pick ups/drop offs. If the item is heavy please leave it in your vehicle and come into the front counter to let us know or call (905) 639-9662 and someone will meet you out back to unload. Please use the supplied anti bacterial when entering the front counter. Extra cleaning, frequent hand washing and/or the use of latex gloves are in place for our employees.

For the protection of our staff, customers and the community - we must ask that anyone who is feeling ill to please not attend the shop.

This also applies to anyone who has travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days.
