Pool's in. Heater's ready. Electrical? That's usually the call we get last — and the one holding everything up.
It's a pattern we see every spring and summer. A new pool gets installed, the heater is sitting there ready to go, and then the homeowner finds out the electrical connection wasn't part of the conversation with the retailer. Suddenly, the swim season is on hold until the wiring is sorted.
This is a residential pool heater hook-up right here in — trench dug alongside the house, cable laid with the proper caution tape, and connections made at the unit. The orange "Buried Electrical Line" tape you can see in both photos isn't just a nice touch — it's a code requirement, and it's there to protect whoever is digging near that line years from now.
Worth knowing before next season: if a pool or hot tub is in the plans, looping in your electrician early saves the wait at the finish line.
