Pool's in. Heater's ready. Electrical? That's usually the call we get last — and the one holding everything up.

It's a pattern we see every spring and summer. A new pool gets installed, the heater is sitting there ready to go, and then the homeowner finds out the electrical connection wasn't part of the conversation with the retailer. Suddenly, the swim season is on hold until the wiring is sorted.

This is a residential pool heater hook-up right here in — trench dug alongside the house, cable laid with the proper caution tape, and connections made at the unit. The orange "Buried Electrical Line" tape you can see in both photos isn't just a nice touch — it's a code requirement, and it's there to protect whoever is digging near that line years from now.

Worth knowing before next season: if a pool or hot tub is in the plans, looping in your electrician early saves the wait at the finish line.

Temp power is live at the Comfort Inn Brockville!

Getting to that point meant a full underground installation — trench open, conduit set, backfilled, connections made, system tested. Our crew coordinated with on the excavation side of things: they handled the dig while we got the cabling in the ground, and once the trench was filled back in, we made the final hookups and brought everything online.

It's the kind of work that disappears the moment it's done — but it has to be right before any other trade on a commercial build can move forward. The GC on this project is Chamberlain Construction Services Ltd., and this is just the start. We'll be handling the full electrical scope as the Comfort Inn takes shape here in over the coming months. 👍️

If you caught our recent post on the panel assembly that kicked this off, this is what came next.

🔨 Almost halfway through one of the most exciting residential projects we've been involved in this spring.

This historic home in downtown Brockville is being converted into a bed & breakfast — and the electrical scope reflects that. Network cabling, lighting, a service upgrade, and more.

That ceiling alone makes it worth showing up. 😍

We're proud to be part of something meaningful!

Our team is currently on site in Golden Lake, Ontario, completing the electrical underground work for the new Algonquins of Pikwakanagan Child & Family Well-Being Centre — a 24,000 sq. ft. facility being developed to serve children and families in the Pikwakanagan community with therapy rooms, cultural programming spaces, an Elders Lodge, and a gathering hall.

⚡ What you're seeing here is the underground electrical stage — multiple conduit runs laid precisely at the foundation level, before any structure goes up. This is the work that nobody sees once the building is complete, but it's the work that everything else depends on.

⚡ And then, there was power.

Our team set up temporary power at the site of a brand new Comfort Inn hotel being built right here in Brockville — a weatherproof panel, GFCI-protected outlets, and a solid setup to keep the job site running safely from day one.

Temp power might not be the most glamorous part of a commercial build, but it's one of the first things that has to go in, and it has to be done right.

Exciting to be part of a project like this one in our own backyard!

🔍 Not all of our work happens on a job site.

Before our team sets foot on a new commercial project, there's prep work that happens behind the scenes. Reviewing drawings, working through the details, identifying questions that need answers before we start — it's how we make sure the work goes smoothly once we're on site.

The planning is part of the job. And it's one of the things that separates a clean install from a costly fix later on.

⚡ Another commercial project is underway — and every job starts with the basics.

Before the real work begins, the site needs to be operational. Temp power, lighting, and the essentials that keep a job site running from day one.

More to come as this one gets underway.

Even the site trailer needs power!⚡

Before breaking ground on a new project, there's some setup work that needs to be done first, including getting the site trailer wired up and ready to go. Lighting, a sub-panel, outlets... the basics that keep a job site running from day one.

It's not the most glamorous part of the job, but it's a good reminder that electrical work shows up at every stage of a build — from the trailer at the start to the final fit-out at the end.

🌱 Generator installations don't happen in a day — and that's actually a good thing.

This is day one of a home generator installation in Brockville. Before the unit goes in, the groundwork has to be right: trenching for the electrical conduit run and preparing the gravel pad base that the generator will sit on. It's careful, methodical work — and it's what makes the final installation clean, safe, and built to last.

A standby generator is one of the more involved home electrical projects, typically requiring two or more site visits to complete properly. We also offer flexible payment options to make it more manageable — ask us about it when you reach out.

Thinking about backup power for your home? We'd love to walk you through the process.
