As we continue to expand across Canada, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with expertise in millwright services, team management, onboarding, health and safety leadership, and COR audit compliance.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager will oversee millwright projects from conception to completion, ensuring exceptional results aligned with our operational and safety standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with advanced project management skills, a passion for safety, and a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Manage the full lifecycle of complex millwright projects, ensuring timely, within-budget delivery with superior quality.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Monitor project performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
Operational Excellence
Align project goals with the company’s strategic objectives to drive operational success.
Develop and implement project management tools and methodologies to enhance performance.
Innovate processes to support long-term growth and operational efficiency.
Team Management & Onboarding
Lead recruitment, performance evaluations, and career development initiatives.
Create and implement onboarding programs to ensure new hires’ success.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture that encourages growth and engagement.
Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to contribute to company expansion.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure client satisfaction.
Health & Safety Leadership
Promote a safety-first culture across all operations and projects.
Design and oversee safety programs, policies, and training initiatives.
Manage COR audits and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7+ years of project management experience (preferably in millwright services).
Strong leadership skills, including team management, onboarding, and development.
Proven track record in delivering complex projects successfully.
Experience in business development, including client acquisition and retention.
In-depth knowledge of COR audit processes and health and safety compliance.
PMP certification or equivalent is an asset.
Proficient in estimating and pricing millwright projects with attention to detail.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
